WoW Season of Discovery Phase 5
Season of Discovery WOW Phase 5″ start time is: 1:00 pm PDT global.
On the surface, it may seem that Phase five has less content than phases 4 and 3. However, that’s no longer the case, as the new phase also brings quality-of-life updates, new PvP changes, gear, and two revamped raids.
Here’s a quick rundown of all things new in the WOW SOD Phase 5:
Zul’Gurub and Blackwing Lair
Season of Discovery WOW Phase 5 has brought two raids:
- Zul’Gurub
- Blackwing Lair
If you have played the classic World of Warcraft, you will know that both of these are revamped raids.
In the Blackwing Lair, up to 40 players can participate in the raids, which makes it more exciting and interesting. The developers have also introduced a swappable difficulty system.
The classic Zul’Gurub has also been revamped in Phase 5 with a new Hakkar boss fight! The devs have introduced new encounter mechanics and players will be able to decide which boss they want to encounter.
The Zul’Gurub is designed for 10 players but also offers room for up to 20 players to join the raid. So, if you want to win exciting rewards, delve into the jungles of Stranglethorn, where an ancient city awaits you. To get ready for the Phase 5, buy Season of Discovery gold and unlock mounts, equipment, weapons, and more.
Thunderaan – A New World Boss
In phase 4, players could face Azuregos and Lord Kazzak (two world bosses). WOW Phase 5 has now introduced a new World Boss named “Prince Thunderaan.”
According to Blizzard, the fight against the Prince Thunderaan is tuned for 20 players. However, up to 40 players can participate in the fight against this World Boss.
Also, it doesn’t matter if you are on the Thunderfury questline or not; this fight will be available to all! This fight will also allow the players to earn new loot which is designed for all the classes and specializations.
But, the biggest reward of all is a chance to earn the “Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker”. This is a legendary weapon which can help you a lot during the matches.
New Runes
Players will also be able to access new runes in Phase 5… And once they reach the endgame of Phase 5, more runes will be made available, which makes this new update so much fun!
2x Ring Runes for the Healing are introduced in the WoW Season of Discovery Phase 5. One rune is designed to increase the mana regeneration, while the other one improves the healing output.
Also, some rumors hint at the replacement of some runes with equipment slots but we will have to wait for the WOW SoD Phase 5 launch to find its authenticity.
Changes To PvP Battlegrounds
Players will now be able to earn more honor from Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch. Phase 5 also promises to improve the endgame PvP by including new Battleground options.
And just like the previous phases, the new WOW SOD Phase 5 will increase the max rank of PvP to 10 and higher. This will allow the players to increase their PvP Rank and get a chance to reach the Rank 14.
